What We Believe!
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe the Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses; therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and instruction for the Church must be based upon, and harmonize with, the Bible. It is to be read and studied by all men everywhere, and can only be clearly understood by those anointed by the Holy Spirit (I John 2:27). "No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (2 Peter 1:20-21).
We Believe in the Virgin Birth, the Begotten Sonship, and the Deity of Jesus Christ; that He was God and Man. (I Timothy 3:16).
We Believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11).
We believe that every believer must obey the Biblical standard of full salvation, which is faith in Christ, repentance, baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (John 3:3-8 & 16, John 7:37-39; Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:44-48, 19:1-6).
We believe that every believer is given power to live a victorious, overcoming life, separated from the world unto Christ. (1 John 5:4; 2 Corinthians 6:17-18).
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit individually and corporately. (1 Corinthians 12-14).
We believe that divine healing through the redemptive work of Christ is available for every believer. (James 5:14-15; 1 Peter 2:24).
We believe in the table of the Lord commonly called communion or the Lord''s Supper, for believers. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32).
We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24, 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers. (Mark 9:43-50; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15).
The basic and fundamental doctrine of this local church shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith, at the same time admonishing all brethren that they shall not contend for their different views of scripture to the disunity of the body.
Godly living should characterize the life of every child of the Lord, and we should live according to the pattern and example given in the Word of God; Titus 2:11-12, I Peter 2:21-23, Hebrews 12:14, I Peter 1:15-19.
